Show Up

Well, we are in the second month of 2019, I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am finding my groove in this new year. Personally, and professionally I have set the bar high. My plan this year is to LEVEL UP. Are you with me? I am not interested in going through the motions. Living a full life is what I’m interested in.

To me levelling up means showing up. For myself, my kids, my colleagues and my community. This means showing up as my best self. It means taking responsibility for my energy and my mood. To do this it means moving my body, eating healthy, staying hydrated, choosing my circle wisely and topping life off with a big glass of red wine and maybe a good night’s sleep now and again. I have had to get real with myself about what I want, and I have made some solid plans that will lead me to my goals. Lucky for me I thrive on discomfort and I am addicted to growth. Personally my goals include, but are certainly not limited to, reading one book every month in it’s entirety (I’m notorious for starting and never finishing books), sweating it all out 4-5/week (SpinCo is currently my sweat session place of choice, but I do love hot yoga too), write more, have more patience with my kids (so far this is the hardest of the list) and get organized (this one is super hard for me too). This list goes on, but I will spare you some of the finer details for now.

Professionally levelling up means fine tuning what is already a successful venture.
